# Fund your launch

Source: https://ballistic.app/docs/launch/funding/

After this, you'll have your wallets funded on the Funding Map and ready to launch, using the funding method that fits your privacy needs.

Once you configure a launch, you fund the wallets that buy at launch. All launch funding happens here, at the funding stage, before you press Launch.

The money comes from the launch's **funding wallet**: the address shown on the funding page. Send the amount the page asks for to that address, then choose how it reaches your buyer wallets.

## Choosing a funding method [#choosing-a-funding-method]

- **Direct** sends from your funding wallet to each buyer wallet. It is the fastest path.
- **CEX** deposits from a centralised exchange, which splits the deposit across your wallets. The exchange sits between your source of funds and your buyer wallets.
- **Bridge** (Robinhood Chain only) bridges ETH from Base to your wallets via Relay.

Reserve launches fund **Direct** only: there is one buy wallet, and the funding page shows the single amount to send.

## Instant or timed funding [#instant-or-timed-funding]

You control when the money moves.

- **Instant** funds all wallets right away, in parallel. This is the default; use it when you want your wallets ready as fast as possible.
- **Timed** spreads the funding over a window you pick, so the deposits are staggered rather than landing all at once. Where enabled, a timed Direct funding routes through a stake account, so your buyer wallets don't trace straight back to the funding wallet; the funding page tells you when it does.

On a Block-0 launch, Direct funding is instant. To stagger deposits, pick CEX and set a window.

On other modes you can also vary the amount each wallet receives, so the deposits don't all match.

## Readiness check before launch [#readiness-check-before-launch]

Before you launch, Ballistic checks that each buyer wallet is funded and ready, and shows the status of every wallet.

If a wallet already holds its funds on-chain but reads as unfunded, Ballistic re-checks the chain and self-corrects. A launch is never blocked by a false unfunded reading.

## What can go wrong [#what-can-go-wrong]

| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Some wallets show unfunded | Your funding wallet doesn't hold enough to cover every buyer wallet | Send the difference to the funding wallet address on the funding page, then fund again. |
| A wallet reads unfunded but you already sent funds | The status hasn't caught up with the chain yet | Ballistic re-checks the chain and self-corrects. Give it a moment. |
| You want the funding trail hidden | Instant Direct funding leaves a visible link from your funding wallet to your buyer wallets | Use CEX funding with a window. On modes other than Block-0, a timed Direct window works too. |
