After launch

Withdraw

After this, you'll be able to move your funds and tokens out to any external address, privately, and know exactly what fee you'll pay.

Time needed: 1 to 2 min

Before you start

  • Have the destination address ready, and confirm it matches the chain you're withdrawing on.
  • Know which wallet holds the funds. Withdrawals from your primary wallet are free. Withdrawals from worker or launch wallets carry the 5% platform fee.

Open the Withdraw dialog

Open Wallets from the left sidebar, select the wallet you want to withdraw from, and click Withdraw.

Choose what to send

Pick the asset (the native coin, or one of the tokens the wallet holds) and enter the amount, or click Max to send the full available balance.

Ballistic keeps a small amount of native gas in the wallet to pay network fees, so the maximum is slightly less than the full balance.

Enter the destination

Enter the destination address, or pick a saved one from your address book. On Solana, turn on private routing to send a SOL withdrawal along a path that is harder to trace back to your wallets.

Check the fee and confirm

Check the fee shown in the dialog, then click Confirm.

How the fee works

The 5% fee is added on top of what you receive. On a Max withdrawal from a worker wallet you receive the balance divided by 1.05, about 95.2% of it, and the rest pays the fee.

Moving funds from a worker wallet into your primary wallet is charged the same 5%, so routing a withdrawal through your primary doesn't avoid the fee. See Fees.

Other chains

BSC, Base, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain withdrawals work the same way:

  • BSC and Base send through a hop wallet by default.
  • Ethereum always uses a direct path.
  • Robinhood Chain withdrawals from several wallets settle together in one atomic transaction.

Verify

The source wallet balance drops by the amount you sent plus the fee and the gas reserve, and the funds arrive at the destination address on the chain you selected. If that doesn't happen, check What can go wrong.

What can go wrong

SymptomLikely causeFix
The amount that arrived is smaller than the balanceThe 5% platform fee applies to withdrawals from worker and launch walletsExpected. Withdrawals from your primary wallet are free, but moving funds into it pays the same 5%.
"Insufficient balance" when you try to send the full balanceBallistic keeps a small amount of native gas in the wallet to pay network feesUse Max. It sends the full balance minus the gas reserve, so the transaction can still pay for itself.
Funds sent but nothing arrivesThe destination address doesn't match the chain you withdrew onDouble-check the address is for the right chain before you confirm. A Solana address on a BSC withdrawal, or the reverse, sends to the wrong network.
An Ethereum withdrawal had no privacy hopsBy design: Ethereum withdrawals always take the direct pathExpected.
