Wallets

Wallet Manager

After this, you'll be able to create, import, organise and secure the wallets you launch and trade with.

The Wallets page is the one place you manage every wallet on your account. It holds four groups: your worker wallets (the wallets Ballistic uses to buy and sell during a launch), your primary wallet, any wallets you import, and your withdraw address book.

The first time you open the page, Ballistic generates your primary wallet, so you always have somewhere to launch from. It sits at the top, with your worker wallets listed below it.

Your primary wallet

Your primary wallet is your deployer: the wallet that creates your token on-chain. You get exactly one per chain.

Withdrawals from your primary wallet are free. Moving funds from a worker wallet into your primary is charged the same 5% as any other withdrawal, so there is no fee-free route out for sale proceeds. See Fees.

You can't archive your primary wallet, because your launches depend on it. To retire a wallet, archive a worker wallet instead.

Creating and importing wallets

You can add wallets three ways: generate fresh worker wallets, import wallets you already own, or buy aged wallets from the Wallet Oven.

  • Generate: set a count and create up to 100 at a time. The cap is 300 wallets per chain.
  • Import: paste the private key of a wallet you own. Use a base58 key for Solana, or a hex key for EVM chains (Ethereum Virtual Machine, the format Ethereum, BSC and Robinhood Chain use).
  • Buy: get wallets that already have on-chain history from the Wallet Oven, so they look like real traders before your launch.

Managing your wallets

Each wallet has its own controls: rename, archive, enable or disable, and reorder it in the list.

You can also set a routing platform (a Solana trading front-end such as Axiom or Photon) on a wallet, so on-chain links for its buys and sells open in the tool you prefer. Bulk-assign applies one platform to many wallets at once.

Exporting a private key

You can export the private key of any wallet you own through a two-step reveal. The reveal is rate-limited and works only for your own keys.

Complete both steps to see the key. If you stop after the first step, or you hit the rate limit, the key stays hidden until you finish or the limit resets.

If the wallet holds sale proceeds that haven't paid the platform fee, the export charges that fee first. How keys are encrypted and protected is on Keys and security.
