Fees
After this, you'll know exactly what Ballistic charges, and when.
Ballistic has one platform fee: 5%, taken when money leaves a launch or worker wallet. Creating, launching, buying and selling are free. Withdrawals from your primary wallet are free.
This is a reference page. Use it to look up a specific number.

A worker wallet is any wallet Ballistic uses to hold supply and trade during a launch. Your primary wallet is the main wallet on your account, one per chain.
When the 5% is charged
The fee is taken on withdrawal, never at the sale itself, on funding, or on the launch. The same rules apply on every chain and in every launch mode. It is charged when money leaves:
- by a withdrawal from a worker, launch or custody wallet, including the Withdraw on a token page after a launch
- by moving worker funds into your primary wallet
Sale proceeds can also leave without a withdrawal. These doors charge the fee on the sale proceeds only, never on money you deposited:
- exporting the key of a wallet that holds sale proceeds
- using sale proceeds to fund a new launch
- a withdrawal from a launch's funding wallet (unspent funding comes back free)
- an early withdraw or cancel (unspent funding comes back free)
Proceeds pay the fee once, whichever door they leave by.
How the fee is calculated
The fee is 5% of the amount you receive, added on top. On a Max withdrawal of a worker wallet you receive the balance divided by 1.05, about 95.2% of it.
Your primary wallet
Withdrawals from your primary wallet are free. Moving funds from a worker wallet into your primary is charged the same 5%, so there is no fee-free route out for sale proceeds.
Airdrops
An airdrop carries a fee of 5% of the tokens distributed, including airdrops pulled from a Reserve.
Bots
The Holder Booster and the Volume Bot are paid per run. Holder Booster tiers cost from 0.25 to 20 SOL; the Volume Bot is priced per million of volume. The app shows the exact price before you start. See Bots.
Robinhood Chain (Pons)
Launching on Pons carries no Ballistic fee: nothing on funding and nothing on the launch. Two charges come from Pons, not Ballistic:
- a creation fee paid by your deployer wallet in the launch transaction (0.0005 ETH at the time of writing; Ballistic reads the live value from Pons)
- a 1% curve fee on every buy and sell, plus your creator tax (1% by default), so traders pay about 2% in total by default
Withdrawing your ETH proceeds from a worker wallet carries the standard 5%. See Reserve mode.
Fee exemptions
Platform admins are exempt from the platform fee. Paid tiers are not: if you are on a paid tier, you pay the same 5% as everyone else.
Referral earnings
When someone you referred pays the platform fee, you earn a share of it. Your share starts at 20% and rises to 50% with your referral tier, and it is paid out of Ballistic's cut, not added on top. See Referrals.
What can go wrong
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Your withdrawal arrived short | The 5% fee applies to withdrawals from a worker or launch wallet | Expected. On a Max withdrawal you receive about 95.2% of the balance. |
| Moving funds to your primary wallet charged a fee | Moves into the primary pay the same 5% | Expected. There is no fee-free route out for sale proceeds. |
| Funding a new launch charged a fee | The funding used sale proceeds from an earlier launch | Expected. Proceeds pay the fee once, whichever way they leave. |
| A launch failed or you cancelled it and expected a fee | Unspent funding comes back without a fee | No fee is taken on the funding. Any sale proceeds in those wallets pay the 5% when they leave. |
