Trade and automate

Auto-buy and auto-sell

After this, you'll be able to have a token sell into strength or buy the dips automatically, reacting to real trading volume without you watching the chart.

Auto-sell and auto-buy are volume-reactive automations you attach to a token. They watch other people's trades and fire your own orders in response: auto-sell trims your position as buyers pile in, auto-buy accumulates while sellers dump.

They work on every launch venue except Meteora DLMM pools, where no trade watcher runs.

When to use it

  • Selling into strength as a token climbs, so you take profit on the way up instead of picking one exit.
  • Buying the dips while a token is still cheap, so you accumulate on other people's sells.
  • Reacting to live volume when you can't sit and watch the chart.

When not to: you want a fixed schedule regardless of what other traders do. For time-based buys or sells, use DCA and TWAP.

How auto-sell works

Auto-sell fires only after the token's market cap (its price times its total supply) rises above a threshold you set. Above that line, every incoming buy from another trader triggers a sell of your own, sized as a share of that buy's volume.

You set three things:

  • Market Cap Threshold: auto-sell stays idle until the market cap climbs above this.
  • Volume Percentage: the share of each incoming buy's volume you sell, from 0 to 100%. A higher percentage sells more per buy.
  • Min Buy Amount: buys smaller than this are ignored, so tiny trades don't trip your sells.

An automation runs for 3 hours, then stops on its own. The expiry time shows under the switch.

How auto-buy works

Auto-buy is the mirror of auto-sell. While the market cap is below your threshold, every incoming sell from another trader triggers a buy of your own, sized as a share of that sell's volume. Once the market cap rises above the threshold, auto-buy stops.

It takes a Market Cap Threshold (buy below this), a Volume Percentage and a Min Sell Amount, and runs for the same 3 hours, plus one more setting:

  • Max Spend (optional): a ceiling on what auto-buy spends across the whole run. Once it reaches the cap, it stops buying even if it hasn't expired.

Attach an automation

  1. On the token page's Trade tab, pick Sell (for Auto Sell) or Buy (for Auto Buy).
  2. Turn on the Auto Sell or Auto Buy switch below the order form.
  3. Set the Market Cap Threshold, the Volume Percentage (the share of each incoming trade you match) and the Min Buy Amount or Min Sell Amount. On Auto Buy, optionally set Max Spend.
  4. Save. It runs for 3 hours; the expiry time shows under the switch.
