Bots
After this, you'll know what Ballistic's three bots do (volume, holders and chart shape) and what you control for each.
Ballistic has three bots you run on a token you've launched: the Volume Bot, the Holder Booster and the Chart Painter. Each targets one outcome and takes a small set of inputs you set up front.
What you set before starting
Every bot runs against a token you pick and a budget you fund. Bots are paid: the price scales with the tier or target you choose, and the app shows your exact price before you start, so you see the cost before you commit.
Volume Bot
The Volume Bot generates trading activity on your token over a window you set. Use it when you want your token to show sustained on-chain volume.
You set a target volume and a duration. The bot works toward that volume across the duration and reports the target, the time remaining and the volume generated so far. It runs on its own until it reaches the target or the duration ends, and you can stop it early at any point.
Its fee is priced per million of volume, shown before you start.
Holder Booster
The Holder Booster grows your token's holder count. Use it when you want more distinct wallets holding your token. It runs on Solana.
It has two modes:
- Airdrop distributes your token to many new wallets.
- Buy has each new holder make a real on-chain buy, so every holder shows a genuine cost basis (the price the wallet actually paid for the token).
You pick a tier, which is a target number of recipients, from 50 to 10,000. Tiers cost from 0.25 to 20 SOL; the app shows the exact price for your tier. You can run the campaign immediately or spread it over 30 minutes, 1, 3 or 6 hours, or a day.
Chart Painter
The Chart Painter keeps your token's market cap (its price times its circulating supply) trading inside a band you set. Use it when you want the chart to hold a range rather than drift.
You set a market-cap floor, a market-cap ceiling and a spend budget. The bot works within that band, spending from your budget as it goes, and reports the band, the current market cap and how much budget remains. The band holds only while budget remains: when the budget runs out, the bot stops and the market cap moves freely again.
The Chart Painter doesn't run on StonkFun tokens.
What can go wrong
These bots spend real funds. Watch for these outcomes.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A campaign paused or stopped before you expected | The run hit its budget cap | Raise the budget on the run, or start a new run with a larger budget. |
| Fewer holders than the tier you paid for | Some recipient buys or transfers are still settling on-chain | Let the run finish. The count catches up as the remaining transactions confirm. |
| The chart left the band you set | The Chart Painter's budget is exhausted | Fund a new run. The band holds only while budget remains. |
